CONDUCTING

The University of Birmingham Music Society has many ensembles to get involved in; whether you're an instrumental player or a vocalist there's always something to get stuck into! You must be a member of the society to join these ensembles.

Chamber Music Network

Within our Chamber Music Network there is the opportunity to form your own ensembles - be those quintets, quartets, trips or duos. Jazz Collective also relies heavily on the input from members experienced in leading and organising bands.

HOW TO BECOME A CONDUCTOR

As a member of the society you will be notified by email when conducting opportunities are available. This is usually once a term. The conducting form is available below or from the music office.

Please make sure you pick up a musical excerpt which you will conduct in your audition from the office before the deadline! For more information about the application process, please contact the Music Society president.
