CONDUCTING OPPORTUNITIES

Ensembles to Conduct

The following ensembles are unauditioned and are conducted by students:

  • Creative Exchange

  • Wind Band

  • String Orchestra

  • Saxophone Choir

  • Flute Choir

  • Clarinet Choir

  • Chamber Choirs (SSA and SATB)

Chamber Music Network

Within our Chamber Music Network there is the opportunity to form your own ensembles - be those quintets, quartets, trips or duos. Jazz Collective also relies heavily on the input from members experienced in leading and organising bands.

HOW TO BECOME A CONDUCTOR

As a member of the society you will be notified by email when conducting opportunities are available. This is usually once a semester. The conducting form is available below or from the Frankland Music Office in the University Music Hub.

Please make sure you pick up (or download) a musical excerpt which you will conduct in your audition before the deadline! For more information about the application process, please contact the Music Society president.
